Often people in ministry find themselves responsible for raising money for their organization - without any formal training in how to do so. They may have a heart and passion for the ministry God has given them, but have come to their position by doing ministry, not by being trained in how to do fundraising. It can be frustrating to be willing, but not know what to do.

Meet Our Team of Fundraising Coaches

Jon Fugler
For more than 20 years, Jon has successfully directed fundraising efforts for Christian ministries. These include evangelistic ministries, Christian radio stations he founded and managed, and fundraising consulting with clients who have used his services.  He has been involved in four radio station start-ups and has brought each one to the point of profitability through major donor programs, effective donor pledge programs, and consistent income through strong business underwriting programs. 

Jon's strength lies in communicating with donors, using a careful mix of print, electronic and on-air elements.  Many stations and networks around the country use his multiple Support Script Series.  Jon has also published the most complete fundraising book in non-commercial Christian radio, covering 15 essentials of donor development.

James P. LaRose, CFRE
Known around the world as Jimmy LaRose, the "Fundraiser's Fundraiser," Jimmy continues to transform nonprofit executives tasked with raising money in a tumultuous 21st Century economy. Jimmy is passionate about fundraising for ministries, and his love for the servant leaders who serve in the ministries is unparalleled.

His heroes are those men and women of the ministry world who lay down their lives daily for the hurting and the hopeless. He has spent the last twenty years supporting leaders who spend themselves in service to others. He has assisted over 200 nonprofits in the U.S. and overseas. He specializes in major gifts cultivation, special events, direct mail, foundation solicitation, annual fund campaigns, capital campaigns, feasibility studies and board/staff development.

Jimmy is past President of both the Association of Christian Development Professionals (ACDP) and the Western Maryland Chapter of the Association of Fundraising Professionals (AFP).

Ron Johnston
For more than 30 years, Ron has built and applied leading-edge technologies to simplifying everyday business problems. During more than a dozen years at Apple Inc., he led engineering teams that built the best, easiest-to-use computers in the world - including the Macintosh and the Lisa, its predecessor.

As the revolutionary capabilities of Internet technologies emerged, Ron founded Parable Interactive to provide online book and resource stores for Christian organizations. Hundreds of Christian organizations across the U.S. now have top-notch online stores entirely built and operated by Parable Interactive in their name.
